What is an Ezine?

An ezine is an online magazine or newsletter that is sent out periodically to it's list of opt-in subscribers. This means that the subscribers have actually asked to receive information from the ezine and as a result ezine publishing is one of the most valuable marketing tools avaiable. This is a great option as you can take advantage of other peoples's subscriber list for a small fee.

Advertising Options

Some ezines had a few options of promotion including

• ezine ads
  these can vary in size and depending on the ezine. Usually ads are about 5-6 lines.

• solo ads
  these are emails that are sent out to subscribers and only contain ONE ad. This gives you exclusinve advertising and more prominance. They usually do not have any word limits

• classified listing
  in the ezines (usually free)

• free listing and advertising
  alot of ezines have a section where they post your free ads.

• Choose to publish in an ezine which is relevant to the topic of your website.

• look at the contect in the ezine - does the ezine contain helpful information that is not repetitive? Is the content useful? Subscribers won't read a boring ezine that is repetitive.

• Look at the number of ads placed in the ezine. Is your ad going to be lost, covered or wasted?

• Look at the number of subscribers to the ezine and compare it to others. Remember you want to get the word out about your website to as many opeople as possibnle.

• keep it informative, short and simple. No one wants to read a full sales page!
